Naukuchiyatal (नौकुचियाताल), is just 15-20 minute drive from Bhimtal (भीमताल) has an inherent charm which is uniquely its own and differentiates it from the other lakes of the region. A vast lake with its fabled ‘nine’ corners lays claim to as much religious significance as the holy city of Haridwar and witnesses processions of pilgrims throughout the year. Equally mythically, the depth of the lake has never been accurately gauged and the exact figure is unknown. Locals believe this is yet another proof of the divine properties of the lake. One of the best lakes to boat on, Naukuchiyaltaal (नौकुचियाताल) is beautiful in autumn.
