Naina Devi Temple:
Naina devi temple is one of the holy destination of Hindu religion. This Scared place of great devotion is located on the edge of Naini lake in, Nainital. Naina devi temple is known by her two eyes. Devotees in large number from various places visit temple for taking blessing of Naina Devi. In close proximity to the temple there are many shops located , from where devotees can buy prashad and puja items.

According to the legends, Naina Devi temple came into existence when Lord Shiva was carrying the corpse of Sati, and her eyes fell to the ground where the temple currently stands.

The temple have been built in 15th century AD, but due to a landslide it might have been destroyed. And later 1883, the temple was rebuilt again by locals.

Three deities located inside the main sanctum – Kali Devi, Eyes of Maa Naina Devi, Lord Ganesha.

Nanda devi fair and festival celebrated in month of September, the fair attracts thousands of travellers and dwellers.  Nanda devi fair takes place in various places of Uttarakhand like- Almora, Nainital, Bageshwar, Bhowali, and kot along with village of Johar. But the main fair is held in Almora.This fair is dedicated to nanda and sunanda. The festival runs for eight days in the premises of Devi temple. Folk dance and songs are major attraction of the fair. On the last day Nanda devi ‘Dola Yatra’ will joined by local and tourists in the large number.
